Support around you

The right help at the right moment.

01

Dedicated supervision

Regular meetings with your supervising social worker to reflect, plan and respond to emerging needs.

02

Out-of-hours help

A 24/7 line for advice when something cannot wait until the next working day.

03

Professional network

Social-work, therapeutic, educational and other specialist input where the care plan requires it.

04

Training and development

Preparation before approval plus ongoing learning shaped by your role and placement needs.

05

Peer community

Support groups and opportunities to connect with foster carers who understand the realities of the role.

06

Family activities

Events that help fostering households build relationships, share experiences and enjoy time together.

Regular supervision

A place to think, not just report.

Supervision gives you protected time to discuss the child’s progress, difficult moments, family impact, training needs and the support that would make a difference. It should be honest, constructive and focused on safe care.

Your supervising social worker also coordinates with the wider professional network and helps make sure agreed actions do not get lost between meetings.

You may not need every part of the support network every day. What matters is knowing it is ready when you do.
