What affects the amount
Every placement is considered individually.
Organic Fostering publishes a maximum of up to £36,400 per child each year. Your actual payment can vary with the placement type, the child’s age and needs, your experience and any additional support package agreed.
The team should explain the weekly payment, what it is intended to cover and any additional allowances before you accept a placement. Figures shown on this website are guidance, not a personal offer.

Placement-specific support may help children take part in holidays, activities and important occasions.
Clothing and school needs
Additional arrangements may apply when a child needs uniform, clothing or other essentials.
Learning and memberships
Training, resources and professional memberships can support your development as a carer.

Where appropriate to the child, respite can form part of a sustainable support plan.

Foster carers are self-employed and may be able to use Qualifying Care Relief. Rates change, so use current HMRC guidance or speak to a qualified adviser.
