A thoughtful look at the carer you could become.

How it works

Open conversations over a series of visits.

An assessing social worker meets with you and relevant household members several times. Together you explore childhood and family history, relationships, identity, parenting experiences, health, work, finances, home life and the people who will support you.

These conversations help identify the ages and needs of children you may be best placed to care for. Many applicants also find the process helps them recognise the resilience and skills they already carry.
